For this next phase of the Design Center in a Box, we facilitated a network of twelve community development organizations across Detroit to build power for Detroit residents through sharing resources and knowledge. This Knowledge Exchange Event is the beginning of strengthening the presence and access of civic resources within neighborhoods. As part of the Knight Cities Challenge, we partnered with DPP, The Artist Village, and East Warren Dev. Co. Our part is to highlight the power of Detroit designers to increase spatial / civic agency and celebrate Detroit culture.
